Create a new document 620x860, 300 resolution and 8 bits, rgb color.

Create a new layer, fill with black color, add gradient - overlay; colors #afafaf and #ffffff.

Now we will drag our main image. We will use girl image from Isostock gallery on Deviantart. Download image and place it in the document.

Duplicate the original layer and desaturated it (Image > Adjustments > Desaturate) and change layer blending mode to:Soft light.

Apply Image (Image > Apply image).

Pay close attention to these steps: this is the technique how to create the robot effect. We will use a 2 px brush 100% hardness and modify its values: take a look picture below: amend the variation of Fujo to 2 and change the pen precious.

For now, do not use Brush tool. At first take Pen tool and draw some lines on girls foot. Now right mouse click and select Stoke path and select brush. With this step our contours will be drawing with brush.

Ctrl + left mouse click on previously applied layer (model). With this we will load selection over the girl contour. Now invert selection: (Select > Invert) and apply the layer mask to this layer.

Repeat this technique to the rest of the leg. Result will be pretty good.

For now we will need protect shadows and shades tones. To do that, we will use the Dodge tool. Select a soft brush, use brush size 7px.

For the same reason we will use Burn tool. Select soft brush with size 4px and protect light tones.

Apply the burn tool and dodge tools to the leg. Also I suggest to add white lines in Soft light mode, to add some highlights..

Our girls leg is ready. Now apply all these techniques to girls hand. Here is result what you need to have.

Girls robot elements are ready, for now hide layers with girl. Next we need create colorful background. With Elliptical Marquee tool, create 3 circles as in the image, no matter what colors you use.

To layer with circles add layers mask and with a soft brush little bit erase circles contours.

Now load this layer selection: Ctrl + left mouse click. Now on layer click right mouse click and select Fill and than use this Pattern.

Apply a second selection of the second circle (blue). Hold Ctrl + click the pattern layer with ctrl + j (can play with patern size).

Now take the Wand tool (W) to patern draw. Change layer blending mode to multiply and go to layer style color options.

We apply the same color to the red circle, the blue circle is changed to black.

Put a soft brush the color layer below the patern. We already create our circle.

Central shape aora going to convert the group to a normal coating for this we will double the group and create a new layer, combine.

Duplicate this layer 5 times (Ctrl + J).

Repeat step 21 but with this group we use the perspective to shape our shapes.

Now we will colorful our bubbles. We use Hue and saturation (Ctrl + u) to set the desired color. Duplicate this layer and put it on the other side and use again to give tone and color saturation. Now make visible girls layer.

We use the original form of the circle using the same parameters of Hue and saturation.

We use the gradient to create a shadow layer. Change layer blending mode to : Soft light, opacity 74%.

Now download stars texture: Stock of stars. Place it in our document and change layer blending mode to Soft light.

Again we use our original circle. Change color, use Hue and saturation (ctrl + u) and use the perspective.

Applying shadows and reflections.

Applying again our patern asemos a circle and add a light brush, so we use the same tool we use a soft brush finger 72px and intensity of 32%.

Duplicate this layer again and use perspectives.

Use the same brush of light, but this time change layer blending mode to Color dodge.

In next step we will create colorful lines. This is pretty complex technique, so pay great attention:

Take Pen tool and draw abstract rough line. Configure brush hardness, size 6px and modify brush values (other dynamics). Right click, Stroke path and select Brush.

Create the second path in the same way.

Create a middle way of the two roads.

Duplicate circles, put them on creamy road and delete unnecessarily circles.

Cliping mask (Ctrl + alt + g).

Use a pink brush, similarly as we used the mask clipping.

Add a new path and add a wrap to form a low opacity White.

Create more lines with the same technique and put them in to different places, like this.

Create new layer, with custom shape tool create Star, use overlapping radial gradient. Use colors: #f217ef and#73f00ev.

Now use the perspective and add a white light.

Result:

And few final steps. To create this effect more effective, we will add smoke above girls head and write text under girl - ( Are You a Rockstar?).

In this tutorial last step, we will use little bit Adobe Illustrator to create elliptical background.

Take Ellipse tool (l) and create a small circle.

Create a larger circle.

Select our paths with the Direct selecciion tool (A) object, fuzion, create.

Object, fuzion, fusion options.

Adjusted values.

And simply put it in photoshop. You can download circles AI file here. Thats it. As you can see, this tutorial is pretty complex with lot of photoshop techniques, but the result is worth it - we create awesome Rockstar poster.
